Checkmate!!

I chose chess club as a subculture. I decided to sign on my atlas and check different organizations that Valencia’s west campus offers. I was interested in Gospel choir and West end Theatricals. However, I was a part of groups such as these ones when I was attending high school. As I went down the list of organizations I came across chess club. Since I was never good at chess I decided to choose chess club as my subculture. From what I’ve noticed it takes a lot of concentration and focus to play the game. It seems as though a lot of intellectuals play chess. Being one myself (Ha Ha!), I felt the need to learn the secrets of chess. I also will observe how the members of chess club interact with each other. Maybe if I stick around chess club long enough I’ll become a chest master. I believe chess club is a qualified subculture, because members have in common the need to play complex and challenging games that require strategic skills. There are also cool phrases that you say in the game such as "checkmate" which means that you win the game. I don't know if chess club have any specific rituals. Although, I think the members of chess club make similiar facial gestures when they are playing the game.
